The Body Shop Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash Review

Hello lovelies! I’m back with another review for all of you. Recently I’ve been focusing on taking better care of my skin since I noticed how rough it started to feel; so the first items on my list were a couple of good exfoliators. After hearing some great things about the Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash, I decided to give it a try myself.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Steareth-21, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Propanediol, Silica, Stearic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Palmitic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Seed Powder, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Panthenol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Myristic Acid, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Lauric Acid, Limonene, Leptospermum Petersonii (Lemon Tea Tree) Oil, Tocopherol, Caramel, Yellow 5, Blue 1.

What they claim:

Keep your skin clear and soft with a creamy facial scrub that is specially formulated to help unclog pores by gently exfoliating to remove trapped dirt, oil and dead skin cells.

My thoughts:

The product has a pretty smooth consistency - about the same as yogurt. It gives off a very light minty smell that I found to be pleasant but if your not a fan of mint then don’t worry because it doesn’t linger. When applying the exfoliator I noticed that it didn’t really have a lot of apricot seeds in it so it sort of felt like you were just rubbing a creamy wash on to your face. At first I was worried about it not being able to remove the dead skin but the exfoliator worked like a dream. I have oily skin but I get very few pimples so I can’t really say that it helps to remove them but my sister uses this product and she said that it does work for her. As for removing oil, this product is a god send. It removes all dirt and oil without leaving my skin feeling stripped and dry. My face was so soft afterwards and my skin seems to be doing much better than it was before.

The Bottom Line:

Overall, I’m definitely going to order this product again and I recommend it to anyone who has oily or acne prone skin. You can also find this product for a few dollars cheaper here.
